Our long-promised Mac OSX freeware guide is now online. So if you have an
Apple Mac laptop or desktop then check out some of the great freebies you can
download and install without spending a cent. Already we have 134
applications in 88 categories so there is plenty to choose from. And if you
feel we have left something out please make a suggestion in the comments.
With the completion of the Mac section Gizmos' Freeware now has recommended
software for all the major platforms: Windows, Linux, OSX, iOS, and Android
as well as coverage of online apps and web services. That's pretty impressive
for a volunteer site with no paid staff and no physical premises. I'm really
proud of what the our community site has achieved; it's been a great team
effort from our volunteers as well as the thousands of readers who have
posted comments, many of which are just as informative as the articles we
